Ananda (Shreya Dhawan) is an intelligent and strong-minded woman who lives in Delhi with her husband (Kapil Sharma) and two kids. Ananda is high spirited, intelligent, independent, and calm and she always wants to be the one who leads the household and the kids in every situation. Her husband is very soft, introvert, and is a home maker. However, Ananda feels that her husband is not the man for her which leads her to have a break up with him. Ananda meets Rahul (Jimmi) and the two fall in love with each other. Rahul is a very straightforward and independent man who does not like a fuss in his life. Ananda and Rahul get married with the blessings of Ananda's parents. As time passes, Ananda soon realizes that Rahul is not the man for her. Rahul is not at all happy with this fact and that is why he wants to get rid of Ananda. A few months later, Ananda becomes pregnant. In the mean time, Ananda meets Raj (Akshay Kumar) who is very selfish and hot headed. Raj is a police officer who hates women and girls and only wants to have fun. Ananda is too weak to stand up to Raj's behaviour. She soon gets forced to succumb to Raj's demands. Ananda has to endure the pain of losing her baby and Raj's attitude. Ananda finally gets her revenge by leaving Raj, and starting her life anew. It is now revealed that Rahul is actually an honest police officer and has been working on a case where Ananda's husband is the culprit. Rahul brings Ananda back to her senses and helps her find the truth. It is revealed that Rahul is in love with her all along and that he will continue to support her through the difficult times in her life. Eventually, Ananda's family unites and the couple are happily reunited.
