Lego Chess Star Wars WORK

This is the Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Lego Chess set. It is the second in a series of three LEGO chess sets that I am building in celebration of the Original Star Wars Trilogy. I started building it not to long after the completion of the first chess set and worked on it through out 2010. It was completed August 2010 an debuted at Star Wars Days 2010 at LegoLand California.
With all the attachment points and the versatile connectivity options with LEGO parts, the chess pieces can be used as decorative and architectural elements in a wide variety of applications. Think architectural details on buildings, decorative lamp posts, rails, fences, various weapons, greebling elements for spaceships and mechs, and a myriad of other uses. They are also very useful for micro-building. In the Kickstarter campaign video (included below), you can see how these attachments work.

If there is a square-shaped indent or writing the parts are from China. I never had a chess set but the magnet figures from china were easy to spot because of the details on the inside of their arms and because the colors of early production runs were noticeably off and milky. To add, current minifig arms all have some writing on the inside but it is barely noticeable and far smaller compared to the magnet figures and CMF Series 1 and 2. @Huw said:\"Buyer beware of the 2000-2010 chess sets: the minifigs were made in China and noticably inferior to those made elsewhere.\"Are you sure about all of them Vikings and Power Rangers would have to be the very first figures produced in China and that seems unlikely. The Boxes had windows, I have seen them in person in the stores and they definitely didn't have the milky coloration that had been on magnet figures. 153554b96e
