Ramos, shaken by an omen earlier, returns to his home and witnesses two of his farmhands killed before confronting Guerrero, whom he could not immediately recognize. After Guerrero puts together his guns, a feat only Red and he could accomplish, Ramos recognizes him, and he is shot to death. Taking his clothes, Guerrero has the local pastor set up six pine boxes as coffins and stations Ramos in one of them. The following morning, Baptiste and Darko discover Ramos and invade a nearby slaughterhouse. After a stand-off with Baptiste and his men, Guerrero kills Baptiste, but realizes that he still bleeds like a mortal. Darko tells Red about the stranger killing them off, and he sends Washington to the mine to insure that the man protecting them from the law is paid off in full. The gang goes to the saloon, where Guerrero is, and a firefight ensues. After defeating them, Guerrero sees the former sheriff's widow, Calathea, about to kill Red, and stops her, but he is trampled by Red's horse as he flees town. Waking sometime later, he explains to Father Paul and her about his situation. Showing him Darko's dead body, whom he had killed during the saloon brawl, Calathea agrees to help him, and the two make their way to the mine.
In the mine, Judah Clark, a marshal, is revealed to be aiding Red and protecting him for access to the gold. They leave Washington and Snake to finish off Guerrero, but he turns the tables and kills Washington, as Calathea and he escape back to town with his body. After an intense chase, they return to town. In a stand-off, Guerrero kills Snake with a gunshot to the eye, but he is quickly shot down and Calathea is captured. Lucifer, still intrigued by Guerrero's tenacity, returns him to life with one hour remaining on his deadline. After a mob tries to kill Red, he takes Calathea captive and confronts his brother, who convinces him to a fair duel. Lucifer cheats with seconds remaining on the clock, and Red and Guerrero instead battle by hand. Guerrero gains the upper hand and kills Red, but two minutes after his time is up.
Action Girl: Alicia. Her introduction is manhandling a drunk in her bar who gets grabby with her and ends up dragging him out of the bar and shoving him head first into the water trough. She also puts up an excellent fight against Bulldog, even if she doesn't win. Angel Unaware: Although his true nature is never established, Dr. Goldsworthy definitely an agent of some kind of higher power. As Long as There Is Evil: The Devil's Book is stated to be indestructible because evil can never be fully purged from the world. Guerroro promptly tests this out by shooting it several times, to no effect. Blood Is Squicker in Water: After being riddled with bullets by Boomer's gang, Guerrero collapses in the river. The water is shown washing over him and flowing out red the other side. Bottomless Magazines: Guerroro fires his revolvers far too many times without reloading. It's possible that they're actually magical given his own supernatural nature, but nothing seems to indicate that. Compelling Voice: Madame Du Vere has this ability and uses it to get the Horn of the Devil's location out of Alicia. Cool Horse: Guerrero rides a massive black stallion with silver tack that is killed by Craven. The stallion gets even cooler when he is resurrected by Dr. Goldsworthy as he is now seemingly bulletproof. Booby Trap: Craven is fond of setting deadly booby traps, usually involving large amounts of dynamite. Death by Irony: At the film's climax, Jackson Boomer is impaled and killed via the Horn of Lucifer, the very artifact that he sought throughout the whole film. Designated Girl Fight: Alicia is the one who takes on Madame Du Vere during the final battle. Exactly What I Aimed At: When Guerrero confronts Boomer during the final showdown, Boomer gloats that Guerrero's guns can't harm him:Boomer: You know those guns can't hurt me! Guerrero: They're not for you! (shoots the wagon full of dynamite) Flirtatious Smack on the Ass: When Boomer's gang takes over Alicia's saloon, Craven slaps Alicia on the ass as he sends her to the kitchen to fix his breakfast. Alicia visibly flinches when he does so, but otherwise cannot react. Frontier Doctor: Dr. Goldsworthy is the town doctor in Silver River. He first appears when he pulls Guerrero out of the river and saves his life. However, he turns out to be far more than a simple frontier doctor. Full-Frontal Assault: When Gurrero storms the brothel, one of Madame Du Vere's girls comes charging out attempting to shoot him while wearing nothing but a flimsy pair of panties. Girl on Girl Is Hot: Madame Du Vere gets Boomer in the mood by getting frisky with one of her girls in the bath. It has the desired effect. Hidden in Plain Sight: After searching the town for the Horn of Lucifer without success, Madame Du Vere realises that the Horn has been hidden in plain sight all the time: it is disguised as one of the hands on the non-functioning church clock. High-Speed Hijack: Boomer's men capture the stagecoach by galloping up to it on horses, jumping aboard, and battling the stage crew. Hollywood Satanism: Jackson Boomer and Madam Du Vere are both Satan worshipers with supernatural powers who aim to unleash Hell on Earth. Immune to Bullets: Gurrero's Cool Horse seemingly becomes bulletproof after Dr. Goldsworthy raises him from the dead. Keystone Army: The zombies are corpses that are raised by by an infernal artifact called the Horn of Lucifer. They are destroyed when the Horn is used to kill the man who raised them. Living Lie Detector: Madame De Vere's other power is that she can tell if someone is telling the truth. Mad Bomber: Craven is very fond of dynamite and gets a look of manic glee on his face when Boomer instructs him to blast the chest out of the stagecoach. Miss Kitty: Madame Du Vere is an evil version who throws in her lot with Col. Boomer once she learns what his scheme is, and allows him to use her brothel as a base of operations. Never Mess with Granny: When Boomer threatens Zerelda's granddaughter, she grabs a lever-action shotgun and jams it against the back of his head. Night of the Living Mooks: Col. Jackson Boomer and his gang of Confederate renegades are seeking the Horn of Lucifer in order to raise an undead Confederate army. Our Zombies Are Different: The zombies are corpses that are raised by by an infernal artifact called the Horn of Lucifer. They are destroyed when the Horn is used to kill the man who raised them. Railing Kill: One of the men Guerrero shoots in the saloon topples forwards over the staircase banister. The Remnant: Col. Jackson Boomer and his gang of Confederate renegades who are seeking the Horn of Lucifer in order to raise an undead Confederate army. Rise from Your Grave: Gurrero's Cool Horse rises from its grave in a very spectacular fashion. Rousing Speech: Alicia delivers one to the townsfolk of Silver River in an attempt to persuade them to join her in opposing Boomer. It falls flat until Guerrero returns to back her play. Scarily Competent Tracker: Bull Dog has a superhuman sense of smell. He is able to use it to track Alicia cross-country and drag her back to Silver River. Shoot the Dog: Guerrero shoots his Cool Horse after it is crippled by Craven's dynamite Booby Trap. He has the horse buried beside his father. Shovel Strike: After digging up the fake box, Guerrero uses the shovel to knock down the soldier guarding him before smashing his head with the box. Still Wearing the Old Colors: Col. Jackson Boomer and several members of his gang are still wearing their old Confederate uniforms. Taking the Bullet: When Col. Boomer throws his cavalry sabre at Alicia, Dr. Goldsworthy steps in the way and is impaled instead of her. Tampering with Food and Drink: Zerelda attempts to dispose of Boomer by lacing his eggs with cyanide. Throwing Your Sword Always Works: During the showdown at the church, Col. Boomer throws his cavalry sabre at Alicia. It would have killed her had not Dr. Goldsworthy jumped in the way. Throw the Book at Them: Lady Du Vere uses the 'the Devil's Book' to hit Alicia in the face when she enters the town hall. Later, Boomer hits her several times with it and looks like he might beat her to death until Guerrero enters. Torches and Pitchforks: When Alicia succeeds in getting the citizens of Silver River to join her in opposing Boomer's plan to raise an army of the dead, they march down the street with torches and pitchforks (and a few other agricultural implements). Two-Person Pool Party: Madame Du Vere starts making out with one of her girls in a bathtub to put Col. Boomer in the mood. It works.
