This sword's shikai can also create a rain of hundreds of blades, and we saw Kaname use that technique against Kenpachi in the Soul Society arc. As for bankai, Suzumushi can trap any opponent in an area where all senses are dulled, making a battle against Tosen very difficult.

Gin used this ability to beat down Ichigo multiple times. In its Bankai form, the blades speed and destructive power greatly increase. It is believed that, in this form, the blade can stretch up to 13 km and move 500 times the speed of sound. Gin is also clever enough to boast about the blade's great length to distract his enemies from his fast it moves.

The wielder of Senbonzakura is the 6th division captain of the Gotei 13 and 28th head of the Kuchiki Clan, Byakuya Kuchiki. This blade has the ability to separate itself into a thousand tiny blades that all appear to be like sakura blossoms.

These blades are too small to be seen with the naked eye, but appear pink when light refracts on them. Byakuya can then control all these blades however he wishes. In its more advanced Bankai form, the number of blades greatly increases, allowing for more devastating techniques, such as gokei (\"throat scene\").

However, their union caused Ichigo to be born with the powers of Shinigami, Quincy, and Hollow, making him quite unique. With such powers within him, his Quincy side stopped him from ever accessing his Shinigami powers, causing him to use false Zanpakuto all this time. Thus, Bleach TYBW cour 1 finale saw Ichigo obtain Zangetsu's true form, which happened to be two blades.

In episode 13 of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, titled \"The Blade Is Me\", Ichigo returns to Hoohden, the palace of Zero Division's Nimaiya Oetsu, the creator of all Zanpakuto. After Ichigo initially failed the process of acquiring a new sword after his Bankai was destroyed in the battle against Yhwach, Nimaiya sent him back to Earth where he found out that his mother was actually a Quincy. Armed with a new understanding of his own nature, Ichigo begins the process of reforging Zangetsu. He confronts what he believed to be the sword's spirit, who reveals he was actually a vestige of Ichigo's Quincy powers, while his \"inner Hollow\", White, was actually Zangetsu's true spirit. Ichigo resolves to reconcile the two parts of his soul and wield both of them in battle, which results in the new, reforged Zangetsu consisting of two separate black blades.

The larger blade represents Ichigo's inner Hollow, which is the manifestation of his Shinigami/Hollow powers. The smaller blade represents what Ichigo called \"the old man\", now revealed as the manifestation of his Quincy powers. While it's still a mystery what power this new Zangetsu holds (even the manga did not properly show it), the heat of the reforged blade instantly evaporates the sea that Nimaiya uses to quench his blades. It's clear that Ichigo's new Zanpakuto represents the balance that he has so hardly reached between his different natures. Ichigo is, in fact, the son of a Shinigami and of a Hollow-infected Quincy. His unique nature is reflected by the duality of his sword, and it's also the only chance to defeat the powerful Quincy Emperor, Yhwach.

EDIT: For anyone still trying to go for this achievement, they patched the shops to not sell bleach/blades/etc. I had to delete my patch update in my HD and then they had it first try. HOWEVER! My friend did this and lost all of this quest progress, so do this at your own risk. We did it at the end of the game, and beat the last mission and he did not get the achievement for completing all quests or for doing them in co-op. It only says 1/whatever.

Up in the Soul King's heights, Ishigo has been brought to the forge of Nimaiya where the guardian spirits of his Zanpakuto in the form of beautiful women gather around to help the great master forge Ishigo's Asauchi into a blade. Surrounded by the endless waterfalls needed to forge the blades, Nimaiya tells Ishigo that he needs to say goodbye to his old Zanpakuto Zangetsu.

Ichigo declares that both his Quincy and his Hollow are part of him and his Zanpakuto, his Zangetsu. He steps into the forge which explodes into gigantic curling flames and begins to forge his own Zanpakuto. Nimaiyu agrees, as this will only work if Ichigo genuinely pours his soul into it. When Ichigo pulls his blade out of the forge, it is not one, but TWO blades, each representing an aspect of himself. The seas dry up around the Hooden and the water in the forge evaporates. Nimaiya asks if he can get alone with those Zangetsu, but of course Ichigo can. He no longer needs to ask these spirits to fight alongside him or help him out, because quite literally, the blades ARE Ichigo.

Bankai Special Ability: Byakuya's Bankai has several forms, achieved by arranging the blades in different patterns. Each form presents a different advantage, such as increasing offense at the expense of defense. This variety of techniques makes Senbonzakura Kageyoshi extremely versatile. These techniques are activated by saying the name of the technique, followed by the name of his Bankai, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi.

Senkei (殲景, Slaughterscape; Viz \"Annihilate\"): The true form of Senbonzakura. This unites the scattered petals into complete glowing swords, numbering in the thousands, which form four rows. These rows float just above each other, and circle around Byakuya and his opponent in a continuously moving, column-like array. It abandons defense in favor of a concentrated offense. Though visually menacing, this form is not meant for attack from all sides; rather, it concentrates his Bankai into fewer blades, thus increasing his attack power. While Byakuya can mentally control these swords, he commonly calls them to his hands for actual melee combat. When in his hand, they lose their glow, and take the form of his sealed Zanpakutō. While they seem solid in this state, the swords can just as easily dissipate back into the multitude of tiny blades they are made up of. It seems to take fewer blows from a Senkei blade to gravely injure an opponent than the multiple cuts needed from the unfocused Bankai. Senkei seals Byakuya in with his enemy, allowing neither combatant to move very far from each other, though the area is still large enough for maneuverability. The deadliest aspect of the Senkei form is that it allows for use of all the swords at the same attack level, making it a way to effectively defeat an enemy unaware of the danger of the situation. It is extremely rare for Byakuya to use this ability, doing so only when he has sworn to cut down the opponent with his very own hands. Ichigo is the second being to ever witness the ability. This technique requires Byakuya's blood to activate.

Gōkei (吭景, Mawscape): This form increases the number of tiny blades immensely. It creates a spherical formation of innumerable blade fragments, which swirl around the opponent like a cloud before flying into them from every possible angle, leaving no blind spots and no possibility of escape. It proceeds to collapse in on itself, obliterating the opponent. When used, it completely obliterated a very large building from the inside out, and the resulting shockwave generated by the attack forced Byakuya himself to Flash Step away.

Shūkei: (Hakuteiken 終景: 白帝剣, Endscape: White Emperor Sword; Viz \"Last Sight: White Emperor Sword\"): This condenses each and every one of his blades into a single, potent sword, drastically increasing its cutting power. The spiritual energy and pressure released by this form is immense. The blade appears bright white, and its aura takes the form of a bird, earning it the name.

When cutting the samples, I realized we forgot the step where we rinsed tweezers with nanopure AFTER we cleaned them with bleach! :open_mouth: I called Emma, and she said to dispose of those samples since they were possibly contaminated by bleach. Additionally, she said we should replace the bleach with ethanol, since trace elements of bleach in our samples would be problematic.
